The World Bank’s Board on April 2 is expected to approve projects to help more than two dozen countries deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Bank has signaled its intentions, but not announced the names of the recipient countries. Eyeonglobaltransparency.net has researched a list of 28 planned projects and the key documents describing them.
The list below includes links to the key document, the Project Information Document (PID).
The PIDs are mostly under a week old, some only days old. They were posted to the Bank website without fanfare. However, PIDs are not part of the Bank system that provides for “simultaneous disclosure” to the public of documents send to the Board.
The projects will provide grants, credits and loans worth about $2 billion, covering countries ranging from Afghanistan and Haiti to India and Ethiopia.
Best way to search for documents is through the Bank advanced search for documents.

(For two countries, Afghanistan and Mongolia, the PID isn’t yet available, and EYE has posted the next best document. For the West Bank and Gaza, EYE found and links to a broader, newer document, the Project Appraisal Document.)

West Bank and Gaza (Project Appraisal Document)
Mongolia (Economic and Social Commitment Plan)
